Description
Here in Romania we have a brand of chocolate named ROM, filled with rum based cream, which started in 1964 (which is also, coincidence or not, the first year of the dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu as the president). Althought communism ended in Romania in december 1989, The Chocolate ROM has been still produced and kept the same authentic recipe and Romanian taste, being produced as double bars, biscuits, toffees, there exists even an ice-cream based on it.
Because this year marks 50 years of Chocolate ROM, I decided to draw this chocolate with this ocasion from four perspectives. Despite there have been passed 50 years since this chocolate made it's debut, the candy is still very popular and also a symbol of Romania's patriotism/nationalism and Romanian national pride (you can see the three colours of the Romanian national flag on the chocolate wrap).
